My goal for Shalybon is to raise
beautiful Cockers that are sound in mind
and willing to please,
so they can be joyful pets as well
as well rounded competitors.

For me the ideal Cocker is one that can
compete in conformation,
have the drive to excel in obedience,
agility, field, etc,
and still be your best buddy.

I have raised dogs all of my life.
As a child, I wanted to train my dog
to do something.
I trained her to attack a dummy,
but quickly realized it wasn't a good trick
when she bit the washing machine repair man!

I have been raising Cockers since 1979.
I have bred very few litters because I only breed
when I want a dog for myself.
When I do breed, my goal is
to reproduce a dog just a little better
than my last one.

I now own a dog training business
and teach home obedience,
competition obedience,
and conformation handling.
I deal with a lot of different breeds,
including problem dogs.

I am a professional handler and handle
many other breeds including Dalmation's,
Dachshunds, Doberman's, Golden Retrievers,
Labrador Retrievers, Collies,
Shetland Sheepdogs, Rottweiller's
and Rhodesian Ridgeback's.

Legend is a Once-In-A-Lifetime dog.
He is an owner/handler's dream-
multi-Champion and
Top Ten Dog two years in a row.
He has produced many Champion Children
and grandchildren.
He still has enough drive and the willingness
to please to attain his performance
titles and best of all,
he knows no strangers and
is passing these wonderful qualities on.
